CRL EDD Series Standard Plated Diamond Drills (SKU: EDD58) were engineered as a cost-effective, high-value solution for drilling glass and similar brittle materials. Solid steel construction and a diamond-plated cutting surface deliver quick hole drilling with clean break-outs. The generous 3/8" (9 mm) shank fits most drill machines. When worn, this plated bit can be sharpened one time with a CRL Sharpening Stone to expose additional diamond and extend service life.
Always use the proper mixture of CRL Diamond Tool Coolant and water for best results.
Product Warning:
Always wear appropriate safety gear, including gloves and eye protection, when drilling glass. Perform work on a flat, horizontal surface. Use a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) when operating any electric tool in conjunction with water or coolant. Failure to follow these precautions can result in operator injury.
