The CRL 9BL21D Series Square Base Shoe is expertly engineered for use with 27/32" (21.52 mm) Laminated Tempered Glass, offering a solution that is 30% lighter than the industry standard, making it cost-effective and eco-friendly.
Specifically designed to meet 2015 IBC Code Changes, this base shoe not only meets but exceeds the 200lb load requirement with a 4x safety factor, ensuring robust performance for CRL Glass Railing Systems.
Utilizing CRL's innovative TAPER-LOC® System, the 9BL can be custom cut to length using a chop saw with a minimum 10" (254 mm) diameter blade for aluminum cutting, and it meets NBC load requirements when installed according to ICC-3842.
For optimal results, CRL recommends consulting with the glass fabricator before wet setting laminated tempered glass and advises against direct powder coating of the base shoe extrusion.
