Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR4TPB34S) is a patented, high-strength door rail engineered for tempered glass storefront and architectural entrance applications. The exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1) secures the glass by applying downward pressure through two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar tightened with socket head cap bolts. The angled extrusions slide into a matching angled groove in the rail so tightening pulls the extrusions together—creating exceptional clamping force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail) for reliable, long-term performance in full-length 35-3/4" rails used with 3/4" (19 mm) tempered glass.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers fast installation for commercial door assemblies: experienced installers can prepare a door in under ten minutes. Rails ship completely fabricated and ready-to-install with End Caps installed; attach the door arm or pivot to the preassembled adjustable door alignment slide (pivot/arm not included). The Adjustable Door Alignment System allows 1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door—standard on both top and bottom rails.

To adjust after installation, remove the End Cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt locks the adjustable slide; the outer bolts provide the 1/8" (3.2 mm) in/out fine adjustment. The low-profile slide accommodates pivots with slotted grooves and can be fabricated for vertically out-of-square openings by altering the common 2-3/4" (69.8 mm) setback.
