CRL Screen Tight™ Vinyl Screen Frame is a practical, low-maintenance vinyl screen frame for porch and sunroom screening. Designed for builders and DIYers, Screen Tight installs onto existing 2" x 4" or 4" x 4" wood framing and accepts standard fiberglass or aluminum screen wire with serrated retainer spline (spline and screen wire sold separately). How it works: attach the pre-punched Base to the existing frame, roll the screen and spline into the Base with a standard screen spline roller, trim the excess screen, then snap the Cap into the Base for a clean, durable finish. Pre-punched holes on 8" (196 mm) centers speed installation and ensure consistent alignment.

Durable, weather-resistant vinyl — will not corrode, rust or rot and never needs painting. Re-screening is fast: pop off the Cap and roll in new screen wire.

Recommended spline sizes: .175" for fiberglass screen wire; .165" for aluminum screen wire. If using aluminum wire, consider the SS165 series; for fiberglass, the SS175 series.

Four easy installation steps:

1. Cut Base to fit with CRL PTS89 Trimming Snips.
2. Attach Base to wooden frame with screws or roofing tacks.
3. Roll screen and serrated spline into Base groove with a screen roller.
4. Trim excess screen and snap Cap into Base.
