Overview
CRL UV703 is a high-viscosity, 100% solids adhesive that provides strong, resilient bonds for materials like glass, steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and many plastics, making it perfect for constructing all-glass showcases, shelves, and furniture.
This optically clear adhesive forms fast, high-strength bonds, with an acceptable bondline gap of 1 to 2 mil, and a tensile/shear strength of 2046 psi.
It is ideal for gluing glass door knobs, metal towel bars in frameless shower doors, and metal standoff bases to glass, as it must be applied to the bonding surface before assembly.
The adhesive cures quickly upon exposure to ultraviolet light, with the curing speed dependent on UV intensity and adhesive depth, and it offers excellent resistance to moisture and yellowing.
For optimal adhesion, use CRL7528 Cleaner and Degreaser to prepare glass surfaces by removing dirt and grease.
Note: Always test when bonding plastics, as not all types may bond properly, and avoid using on coated parts.
