Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR4TPB58P) features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). The wedge-action design secures the glass from the bottom using two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, the angled extrusions wedge together in the rail groove, generating high compressive force and a durable, long-lasting hold—ideal for heavy-use commercial glass doors and tempered glass storefront applications.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers fast installation and reliable performance. Experienced installers can prepare a door in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After rail installation, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the door rail. The Adjustable Door Alignment System allows ±1/8" (3.2 mm) fine adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door; this feature is standard on both top and bottom rails.

To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the adjustable slide and the two outer bolts provide the ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment. The low-profile slide allows pivots with slotted grooves to be positioned other than the American Standard setback of 2-3/4" (69.8 mm), accommodating vertically out-of-square openings.
