Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, features the exclusive Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This patented wedge action secures monolithic tempered glass from the bottom of the rail using dual glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel tension bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, the angled extrusions are pulled together by the wedge groove in the door rail, producing high clamping force (over 900 lbs. in a 9" corner rail). That same secure principle scales across full-length door rails for robust glass retention in glass entrance doors and storefronts.

The Wedge-Lock® system provides fast installation for frameless glass doors and tempered glass commercial entrances. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in less than ten minutes. Rails come completely fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After rail installation, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide that is pre-assembled in the rail.

The standard Adjustable Door Alignment System allows +/-1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door — standard on both top and bottom rails. To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the adjustable slide and the two outer bolts allow the +/-1/8" adjustment. The low-profile slide and slotted pivot grooves permit positioning other than the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
