XtraBond®HT is a one-part, non-slumping silicone sealant engineered for continuous service from -40°F to 500°F. It cures to a flexible silicone rubber that resists sagging and provides durable, watertight seals around heating elements. Ideal for high-temperature silicone sealing applications—such as furnace vent and oven seals—XtraBond®HT also offers electrical and thermal insulation, aggressive adhesion, and compatibility with SBS flashing.

Directions:

1. Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of contaminants.

2. Nozzle: Cut to desired bead size.

3. Application: Use a caulking gun and press sealant firmly onto the substrate for full contact.

4. Tooling (optional): Smooth bead if needed for appearance or coverage.

5. Clean-up: Remove excess with mineral spirits or equivalent solvent.

Follow these steps for best performance of XtraBond®HT in high-temperature sealing applications.

Surface Prep:
  • Clean: Remove dirt, dust, and debris.
  • Dry and frost-free: Substrate must be completely dry.
  • Sound: Surface should be structurally stable.
  • Free of oils, grease, or incompatible coatings that hinder adhesion.

Avoid applying to damp or contaminated surfaces. Test substrates for compatibility; primers are generally not required but recommended for verification.

Shelf Life & Storage:
