Italian-made, multi-layer metal bond diamond drills engineered for glass drilling. The metal (diamond and bronze) bond offers the longest life among diamond drills, producing 1,000–2,000 holes in 1/4" (6 mm) glass with proper maintenance and periodic use of a wet sharpening stone to expose fresh diamonds. These drills cut faster and run cooler than comparable drills and feature a full 3/8" (10 mm) deep diamond-filled cutting surface for extended life. Because of their diamond-filled construction they are more fragile and should be used on flat glass in true-running machines.
The PD Series includes an extra-long 1-3/8" x 3/8" (35 x 10 mm) shank for a positive grip. The PDT Series (PDT2) uses Belgian style mounting threads (1/2" / 12.7 mm gas), widely used in U.S. and European glass drilling machines. Suitable for portable machines such as the CRL AMZ1 and ideal for production equipment—perfect when you need a durable metal bond diamond drill for precision glass hole cutting.
