CRL Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) Setting Blocks (SKU: TPR578) are 90 durometer TPR blocks designed as a direct-performing alternative to traditional neoprene setting blocks. Ideal for structural glazing and window glazing applications, these thermoplastic rubber setting blocks offer excellent chemical resistance, do not mar or stain surfaces, and are available in the most popular neoprene block sizes. Because they are compatible with a wide range of modern sealants, they work well in designs specifying silicone, butyl, polyurethane, or polysulfide sealants. Job-specific compatibility testing with the chosen silicone sealant manufacturer is recommended before startup.
Product Warning:
To ensure sealant-to-block compatibility, the silicone sealant manufacturer can test job-site accessory materials per ASTM C1087-87. Written test results will be provided. Testing typically takes approximately four weeks from receipt of samples.
