GE® 1200 (SKU: SCS1209) is a one-part, acetic-cure construction and glazing silicone sealant that cures to a tough, flexible rubber through moisture cure. Ideal as a building and glazing sealant, it provides long-lasting weatherproofing and durable watertight seals for windows, curtainwalls, mullions, skylights, and interior glass partitions.


Basic Uses
Used to seal building joints to prevent penetration of rain, air, and noise. Effective for weatherproofing junctions of building materials and for glazing steel and aluminum windows, painted and plastic-coated wood windows, and skylights. Creates permanent watertight bonds with glass, ceramic, steel, plastics, and painted surfaces for maintenance and construction applications requiring long life and reliable sealing.

Limitations

Product Warning:

Do not apply to concrete, marble, limestone, lead, zinc-coated (galvanized) metal, copper, surfaces with special reflective or protective coatings (such as mirrors), assemblies containing two-part silicone insulating glass or structural glazing sealants, surfaces to be painted, or in totally confined spaces. For remedial work remove all old sealant before reapplying. Refer to cartridge label and Specification Data Sheet for additional restrictions.
