CRL Foam Glazing Tape (SKU: 98418X12GRY) is a closed-cell polyethylene foam glazing tape designed for exterior glazing and window and door sealing applications. The aggressive acrylic adhesive bonds quickly to curved or irregular surfaces and positions easily with minimal pressure. Ideal where glass repositioning is important before final setting, it adheres to wood, vinyl, aluminum, and glass.

This self-shimming foam glazing tape eliminates the need for shims or spacers. Constructed with a patented cellular foam structure, it resists water absorption and long-term weathering while providing a durable, long-lived seal for glazing, storefronts, and fenestration systems.

Maintain a minimum of 30% compression for an effective moisture seal. In small lites this can be achieved by applying pressure directly to the tape when installing glazing stops; for most installations use a compression wedge gasket. Apply with firm, uniform pressure to a clean, dry surface without stretching (the paper liner indicates stretching). Cut and butt tape corners rather than overlapping; apply a thin bead of approved sealant at intersections after removing the liner. CRL Foam Glazing Tape is compatible with common sealing and glazing compounds and performs across an in-service temperature range of –40° to 180° (–40° to 82°C).

Product Warning:
CRL Foam Glazing Tape must be compressed at least 15–30% (typically 30% recommended) to maintain an effective seal. Use compression wedge gaskets for most lites to ensure proper compression and long-term performance.
