Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This patented wedge action secures monolithic tempered glass by applying pressure from the bottom using two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As socket head cap bolts are tightened, the angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the door rail, generating very high clamping force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail) — delivering exceptional glass retention across the full 35-3/4" (908 mm) rail length.

The Wedge-Lock® Glass Securing System provides fast installation and reliable long-term performance. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails ship fully fabricated with end caps installed and an adjustable door alignment slide preassembled—so after rail installation the only step is attaching the door arm or pivot (not included). The Adjustable Door Alignment System allows 1/8" (3.2 mm) in/out adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door; this feature is standard on both top and bottom rails.

Access to adjustments is simple: remove the end cap to reveal three socket head cap bolts—the center bolt secures the slide, and the two outer bolts adjust the slide 1/8" (3.2 mm) in or out. The low-profile slide enables pivot placement other than the American Standard setback of 2-3/4" (69.8 mm), allowing fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
