Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2, Canadian Patent 2,419,706, and European Patent No. EP 1 404 939 B1). The Wedge-Lock® design secures glass by applying pressure from the bottom of the door rail using two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar tightened with socket head cap bolts. The angled extrusions seat into an angled groove so that, as the bar is pulled down, the wedge action compresses the extrusions together against the glass. Combined with the specially designed door retaining gasket, this creates high retention force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail) — scaled across the full 35-3/4" (908 mm) rail for exceptional glass hold and durability.

The Wedge-Lock® Glass Securing System delivers secure attachment plus the fastest installation time among door rails. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps pre-installed. After rail installation, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail.

The standard Adjustable Door Alignment System allows ±1/8" (3 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door (top and bottom rails). To adjust, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts provide the 1/8" in/out adjustment. The low-profile slide permits pivot placement other than the American Standard setback of 2-3/4" (69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
