An innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System uses the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2, Canadian Patent 2,419,706, and European Patent No. EP 1 404 939 B1) to secure glass with high clamping force. Two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar pull down with socket head cap bolts into an angled groove, creating wedge pressure at the bottom of the rail. Combined with the door retaining gasket, this design produces exceptional holding force (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail), delivering superior glass-door security and stability for commercial glass doors and storefront door systems.

The Wedge-Lock® system also minimizes installation time for glass door rails. CRL rails arrive fully fabricated with end caps installed; experienced installers can prepare a door for hanging in under ten minutes. The built-in Adjustable Door Alignment System (standard on both top and bottom rails) provides ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door—ideal for vertically out-of-square openings.

Installation and adjustment are simple: remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts—center bolt secures the adjustable slide; outer bolts adjust the slide 1/8" in or out. The low-profile slide and slotted pivot grooves allow pivot placement outside the American Standard setback of 2-3/4" (69.8 mm).
