Office Lock Function: Latchbolt operated by lever on either side (outside lever can be locked by rocker in faceplate) or by key outside. Auxiliary latchbolt deadlocks main latchbolt to prevent jimmying. Inside lever always retracts to allow exiting.

Entrance Lock: Latchbolt operated by lever on either side (unless deadbolt is projected). Deadbolt operated by key outside and thumbturn inside. Inside lever retracts latchbolt and deadbolt simultaneously for exit.

Passage Lock: Latchbolt operated by lever on either side. Inside lever always retracts to allow exiting.

Storeroom Lock: Latchbolt operated by lever inside and by key outside; outside lever is fixed. Auxiliary latchbolt deadlocks main latchbolt to prevent jimmying. Inside lever always retracts to allow exiting. Commonly used with electric strikes.

Classroom Lock: Latchbolt operated by lever on either side except when outside lever is locked by key. Key operates latch and unlocks outside lever; inside lever remains operable.
