The CRL Backer Rod Insert Tool Set is the quickest, easiest, and safest way to install backer rod. The proper insertion of backer rod into the joint is imperative to proper joint sealing. The assortment of rollers allow insertion of backer rod diameters of 1/8" (3 mm) and larger. The tool allows you to set the desired depth to assure uniformity. The nylon wheels won't damage the backer rod, or scratch adjacent channel walls.
Complete set includes a Standard Backer Rod Insertion Tool and the Backer Rod Insertion Tool for Close Quarters. The Standard Backer Rod Insertion Tool is designed for the following applications: Masonry expansion wall joints, precast panel wall joints, pavement/floor joints, EIFS/stucco joints. The main frame will accommodate a standard threaded broom handle if desired. The Backer Rod Insertion tool for Close Quarters is designed for the following applications: Window perimeters, steps, curtainwalls, and corners.
