The CRL DC53 Size 3 Surface Mount Door Closer (SKU: DC53BRZ) is designed for common commercial and residential openings. The Size 3 spring fits interior doors up to 42" (1.07 m) and exterior doors up to 36" (914 mm) wide with an applicable door weight between 99 and 143 lbs. (45–65 kg). Built-in adjustable back check protects doors and hardware from wind or violent swings during the opening cycle. Independent closing and latching speed adjustments provide smooth, controlled door closing to meet ADA and customer requirements. All CRL surface-mounted closers are UL listed and backed by a 10-year warranty.

Each closer ships with a parallel arm bracket and mounting hardware for universal installation (regular, top-jamb, or parallel arm). Optional accessories for specialized installations include Drop Plates and Hold Open Arms.
