CRL 95C (SKU: 95CW) is a one‑part, low‑modulus, neutral‑cure silicone sealant formulated for durable, flexible building joint seals. Designed as a primerless silicone sealant for many substrates, it accommodates ±50% movement in properly designed joints and is ideal for expansion/control joints in precast concrete panels, metal curtainwalls, and non‑structural glazing of glass, metal, and plastic. It’s also suitable for perimeter waterproofing and window and door sealing.
CRL 95C bonds watertight to glass, ceramics, plastics, stone, masonry, wood, steel, anodized and mill‑finished aluminum, and painted surfaces (in most cases no primer required). It can be applied outdoors at temperatures as low as -20°F (-29°C) and on hot surfaces up to 130°F (54°C). Cured sealant performs from -40°F (-40°C) to 350°F (177°C), making it a reliable silicone sealant for extreme temperature applications and cold‑temperature sealing jobs.
BASIC USES
Sealing expansion and control joints; non‑structural glazing of glass, metal and plastic; perimeter sealing of doors and windows; and general waterproofing applications. Compatible with laminated and insulating glass, acrylic and polycarbonate glazing sheets, and with insulating glass units produced using two‑part silicones, polysulfides, polyurethanes, and butyls. For certain substrates, Cat. No. S1L2100 primer may be required—clean, dry, and frost‑free surfaces and proper tooling are essential for best adhesion.
COMPARABLE SEALANTS
Dow Corning® 795, 791; GE® SilPruf® 2000; Tremco® Spectrem® 2 & 3; Pecora® 864, 895; Sonneborn® OmniSeal; Sika® SikaSil®‑WS95.
LIMITATIONS
Not for structural glazing, horizontal decks, patios, driveways, terrace joints subject to abrasion or heavy traffic, submerged joints, or below‑waterline marine sealing. Do not use in totally confined or air‑free spaces or on surfaces to be painted after application. Neutral cure by‑products may stress‑crack some polycarbonates—test prior to use. Do not apply to surfaces in direct contact with food. See cartridge label and Specification Data Sheet for additional limitations.
