Our innovative glass entrance product, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR4SPS58PL) features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This patented wedge action secures monolithic tempered glass by applying downward pressure from two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions using a flat stainless steel bar and socket head cap bolts. The angled extrusions seat into the door rail groove and draw together as the bar is tensioned, producing very high glass retention force (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" Corner Rail). This same Wedge-Lock® method scales across full-length rails for exceptional holding power in frameless glass door applications.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers the fastest installation times among door rail systems. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails ship completely fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After rail installation, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the pre-assembled adjustable door alignment slide—no internal component removal required. The Adjustable Door Alignment System provides ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb on both top and bottom rails without removing the door, enabling on-site vertical out-of-square corrections.

To fine-tune the door after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts adjust the slide in or out by 1/8" (3.2 mm). The low-profile slide permits pivot placement other than the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm) for flexible pivot/panic hardware layouts.
