Our innovative glass entrance product, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, features the patented CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This patented wedge action secures the glass from the bottom of the rail using two aluminum retaining extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tensioned with socket head cap bolts, the angled extrusions are drawn together in the door rail groove, producing high clamping force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail), providing a reliable secure attachment for tempered glass doors.

The Wedge-Lock® system also delivers industry-leading installation speed for glass door rails. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® door rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After mounting the rail, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide pre-assembled in the rail. The adjustable door alignment slide allows ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door — standard on both top and bottom rails.

To adjust the door after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts provide the ±1/8" adjustment. The low-profile slide allows pivot placement other than the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
