This standard-duty CRL Tubular Spiral Non-Tilt Window Balance (SKU: FM3020) replaces metal or plastic tubular balances and spiral balances with a white bushing. Designed for window sash balance applications up to 25 lbs, this 3/8" tubular spiral balance is a reliable choice for residential and light-commercial double-hung windows. We recommend replacing both balances in a window at the same time for optimal performance.
How to order tubular spiral window balances
- Check the diameter of the old metal or plastic tube: 9/16" = Series "FJ"; 3/8" = Series "FM" or "FR" (depends on the rod fitting).
- Measure tube length only — do not include rod length.
- Identify the nylon bushing color: white or red = standard duty; blue = heavy duty.
- Verify the fitting on the rod protruding from the nylon bushing. If diameter is 3/8", select the appropriate series ("FM" or "FR").
- Order the required quantity by catalog number (SKU FM3020 for this standard-duty unit).
