Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR10SBL34S), uses the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). Designed for commercial and architectural glass doors, the system secures the glass by applying downward pressure through two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar tightened with socket head cap bolts. The angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the rail so the wedge action and door retaining gasket generate exceptional clamping force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail), delivering durable, long-lasting security across the full 35-3/4" door rail.
NOTE: Actual product height: 10" (254 mm)
The Wedge-Lock® system not only secures glass reliably but also reduces installation time. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® door rails ship completely fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After mounting the rail, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail.
The standard Adjustable Door Alignment System lets you adjust the door 1/8" (3 mm) toward or away from the jamb without removing the door—standard on both top and bottom rails. Remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the adjustable slide; the two outer bolts adjust the slide 1/8" (3 mm) in or out. The low-profile slide allows pivots with slotted grooves to be positioned other than the American standard setback, enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
Other benefits and long-tail features:
- Accepts 3/8" to 3/4" (10 to 19 mm) glass options
- Rigid single-component housing that resists shifting or loss of adjustment over time
- Internal components remain in place for faster installation—no removal required
- Durable glass securing pads engineered for longevity in extreme environments
- Built-in jamb alignment block on all Wedge-Lock® door rails
Ordering & hardware notes:
- Arms, pivots, closer arms, and floor or overhead pivots must be ordered separately to meet job requirements
- Models with locks are supplied with
