Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR4SBS58SL), features the exclusive Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2, Canadian Patent 2,419,706, European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This patented glass door rail for 5/8" glass secures monolithic tempered glass using two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. Socket head cap bolts pull the bar down into an angled groove in the rail to wedge the extrusions together and compress a specially designed door-retaining gasket — creating very high clamping force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail). Imagine the holding power across the full 35-3/4" door rail length.

The Wedge-Lock® Glass Securing System delivers secure glass attachment and industry-leading installation speed. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After mounting the rail, attach the door arm or pivot (sold separately) to the preassembled adjustable door alignment slide.

The adjustable door alignment slide (standard on both top and bottom rails) allows +/-1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door. To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts adjust the slide in or out. The low-profile slide permits pivot placement other than the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), allowing fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
