Our CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System features the patented Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2, Canadian Patent 2,419,706, European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1), a unique wedge-action method that secures glass from the bottom using two aluminum glass-retaining extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is cinched with socket head cap bolts, the angled extrusions seat into the door-rail groove and pull together, creating extremely high clamping force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail) — delivering superior glass retention for full-length 35-3/4" door rails.

The Wedge-Lock® system provides faster installation than conventional door rails: experienced installers can prepare a door in under ten minutes. Rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After mounting the rail, simply attach your door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide preassembled in the rail.

The adjustable alignment slide (standard on both top and bottom rails) lets you move the door 1/8" (3.2 mm) toward or away from the jamb without removing the door. Removing the end cap reveals three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt locks the slide; the two outer bolts adjust the slide in or out. The slide’s low profile allows pivot placement other than the American Standard setback of 2-3/4" (69.8 mm), and rails can be fabricated for vertically out-of-square openings.
