The CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System is an innovative glass door rail for commercial storefronts and interior glass entrances that uses the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). The wedge action applies pressure from the bottom of the rail via two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, the angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the door rail, creating very high retention force (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail) for secure glass retention in our full-length 35-3/4" (908 mm) door rails.

The Wedge-Lock® glass securing system delivers fast installation time—the fastest among door rails—allowing experienced installers to prepare a door in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® door rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps pre-installed. After rail installation, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the pre-assembled adjustable door alignment slide. The Adjustable Door Alignment System permits up to 1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door; this feature is standard on both top and bottom rails.

To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center secures the adjustable slide; the two outer bolts provide the 1/8" (3.2 mm) in/out adjustment. The low-profile slide allows pivots with slotted grooves to be positioned off the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
