Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This patented wedge-lock design secures monolithic tempered glass by applying controlled pressure from the bottom of the rail using two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, the angled extrusions seat into the rail groove and compress the glass retaining gaskets, producing extremely high clamping force (measured at more than 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail), ensuring a secure, vibration-resistant hold for full-length 35-3/4" rails.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers fast, reliable installation—the fastest door rail installation offered to the industry. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. CRL door rails ship completely fabricated and ready-to-install with End Caps pre-installed. After installation, attach a door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail. The Adjustable Door Alignment System allows 1/8" (3 mm) in/out adjustment without removing the door—standard on both top and bottom rails.

To adjust after hanging, remove the End Cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center secures the slide, the outer two adjust the slide 1/8" (3 mm) in or out. The low-profile adjustable slide accommodates pivots with slotted grooves and can be fabricated for vertically out-of-square openings.
