Overview

  • 35-3/4" (908 mm) length for 3/8" (10 mm) glass
  • Use monolithic tempered glass
  • Patented Wedge-Lock® glass securing system (U.S., Canadian & European patents)
  • Models to fit from 3/8" to 3/4" (10 to 19 mm) glass
  • Available in several stock architectural finishes — custom finishes available
  • Available with and without locks
  • Matching sidelite rails available

Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR4SBL38SL), uses the exclusive Wedge-Lock® Securing System to clamp glass from the bottom with two aluminum retaining extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tensioned with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions engage the rail groove and draw together, creating exceptionally high holding force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail) and secure, vibration‑resistant glass retention across the full 35-3/4" rail length.

Actual product height: 4-1/16" (103 mm)

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers fast installations and long-term reliability. Rails arrive fully fabricated with end caps installed; experienced installers can prepare a door for hanging in under ten minutes. The preassembled adjustable door alignment slide lets you fine-tune the door 1/8" (3 mm) toward or away from the jamb on both top and bottom rails without removing the door.

After installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the alignment slide and the two outer bolts adjust the slide 1/8" (3 mm) in or out. The low-profile slide allows pivot placement other than the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.

Key differentiators:

  • Fastest install time among door rails — preassembled and ready-to-install
  • Rigid single-component housing that resists shift and maintains adjustment
  • Internal components remain in-place during installation
  • Durable glass pads designed for longevity in extreme environments
  • Built-in jamb alignment block standard (arms and pivots ordered separately)

Ordering notes:

  • Comes standard with Kwik-Adjust™ Pivot Alignment System; closer arms and floor or overhead pivots must be ordered separately
  • Models with locks include the lock mechanism; keyed cylinders or thumbturns ordered separately
  • End caps included in stock lengths; specify total rail length (including end caps) for custom rails

Finishes & support: Available in several standard architectural finishes; custom finishes and widths quoted on request. Rail specifications, templates and hardware packages are available from CRL Technical Sales via
