Our innovative glass entrance product, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, uses the exclusive Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1) to deliver a faster, stronger installation for commercial glass doors. The system secures glass by applying downward pressure through two aluminum glass-retaining extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is drawn down with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the rail to create high holding force (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail), scaled across the full 35-3/4" (908 mm) rail.

The Wedge-Lock® system provides industry-leading installation speed—experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. Rails ship completely fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After rail installation, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail. The adjustable door alignment system allows ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb on both top and bottom rails without removing the door.

To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt locks the slide; the two outer bolts adjust the slide 1/8" (3.2 mm) in or out. The low-profile adjustable slide accommodates pivots with slotted grooves and can be fabricated for vertically out-of-square openings.
