Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). The system secures glass by applying pressure from the bottom of the rail using two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. Socket head cap bolts pull the bar down, forcing the angled extrusions into the rail groove and creating strong wedge pressure against the glass retention gasket — generating significant holding force in the corner and full-length rails.
NOTE: Actual product height: 4-1/16" (103 mm)
The Wedge-Lock® design delivers a secure attachment plus the fastest installation time of any door rail system in the industry—experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. Rails arrive completely fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After rail installation, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail.
The standard Adjustable Door Alignment System allows ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door on both top and bottom rails. Remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide and the two outer bolts provide the ±1/8" adjustment. The low-profile slide enables pivot placement other than the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), allowing fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
Other reasons to choose Wedge-Lock® Door Rails:
- Accepts 3/8" to 3/4" (10 to 19 mm) glass
- Rigid single-component housing that resists shifting and loss of adjustment over time
- Internal components remain installed during installation—no pre-removal required
- Glass securing pads designed for longevity in extreme environments
NOTE: All Wedge-Lock® Door Rails include the built-in
