Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, uses the patented Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). The system secures glass by applying downward pressure via two aluminum glass-retaining extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar tightened with socket head cap bolts. Angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the door rail, creating high clamping force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" Corner Rail) for dependable glass retention across full-length rails. This design targets commercial storefront, office, and architectural glass door applications where secure, durable glass attachment is required.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers faster installation than traditional door rails—experienced installers can prepare a door in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After mounting the rail, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide preassembled in the rail.

The Adjustable Door Alignment System allows ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door (standard on top and bottom rails). To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts adjust the slide in or out. The low-profile slide enables pivot placement other than the American Standard Setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm) and supports fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
