Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2, Canadian Patent 2,419,706, European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). The wedge action pulls two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions together via a flat stainless steel bar and socket head cap bolts, creating very high clamping force in the rail (measured at over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail). This design secures the glass at the bottom of the door rail while allowing fast, reliable installation.
NOTE: Actual product height: 4-1/16" (103 mm)
Wedge-Lock® Door Rails come completely fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After mounting the rail, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail. The adjustable door alignment system allows ±1/8" (3 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door — standard on both top and bottom rails.
To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts adjust ±1/8" (3 mm). The low-profile slide lets pivots with slotted grooves be positioned beyond the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
Why choose Wedge-Lock® Door Rails:
- Fastest installation time of any door rail system — experienced installers can prepare a door in under ten minutes
- Rigid, single-component housing that maintains adjustment (not two-piece)
- Internal components remain installed during mounting — no pre-removal required
- Durable glass securing pads designed for longevity in extreme environments
- Models accept 3/8" to 3/4" glass (10–19 mm)
NOTE: All Wedge-Lock® Door Rails feature a built-in jamb alignment block. Arms and pivots must be ordered separately to meet job requirements.
CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails are available in several standard finishes and can be quoted in custom finishes and widths upon
