Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR4SSA12S) features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This door rail for tempered glass secures the glass by applying downward pressure through two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, angled wedges pull the extrusions together against a specially designed gasket, producing very high retention force (more than 900 lbs. in a 9" corner rail). Imagine the holding strength across the full 35-3/4" (908 mm) rail.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers faster installation than traditional door rails—experienced installers can prepare a door in under ten minutes. Rails come completely fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps in place. After installation, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the pre-assembled adjustable door alignment slide. The Adjustable Door Alignment System allows ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb on both top and bottom rails without removing the door.

To fine-tune after hanging, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the adjustable slide; the outer bolts provide the 1/8" in/out adjustment. The low-profile slide and slotted pivot grooves allow positioning other than the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
