Our CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). The system secures glass by applying downward pressure with two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the door rail and pull together, creating very high clamping force (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" (228.6 mm) corner rail).

NOTE: Actual product height: 4-1/16" (103 mm)

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers a fast, reliable install: experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in less than ten minutes. Rails arrive completely fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After mounting the rail, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail.

The standard Adjustable Door Alignment System lets you move the door 1/8" (3.2 mm) toward or away from the jamb without removing the door — available on both top and bottom rails. To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the outer two adjust the slide ±1/8" (3.2 mm). The low-profile slide also allows pivots with slotted grooves to be positioned off the American Standard setback for out-of-square openings.

Other benefits and differentiators:

  • Accepts 3/8" to 3/4" (10 to 19 mm) glass
  • Rigid single-component housing resists shift and long-term misalignment
  • Internal components do not require removal before installation
  • Durable glass securing pads designed for longevity in extreme environments
  • Built-in jamb alignment block (arms and pivots ordered separately)
