Our innovative glass entrance system, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This tempered glass door rail for commercial and architectural storefronts secures glass by applying pressure from the bottom of the rail using two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, an angled wedge in the door rail pulls the extrusions together, creating very high clamping force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail). Imagine the clamping strength across the full 35-3/4" (908 mm) door rail length.

The Wedge-Lock® Glass Securing System provides secure attachment plus the fastest installation time among door rail systems. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails come completely fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After rail installation, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail. The adjustable door alignment slide allows ±1/8" (3.2 mm) in/out door adjustment without removing the door — standard on both top and bottom rails.

To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to expose three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts adjust the slide ±1/8" (3.2 mm). The low-profile slide permits pivot placement other than the American Standard setback of 2-3/4" (69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
