Our innovative glass entrance product, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR4SDU12S) features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This tempered glass door rail secures glass by applying downward wedge pressure using two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar tightened with socket head cap bolts. The angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the door rail so the wedge action pulls the extrusions together, creating very high clamping force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail). That translates to exceptional strength across the full 35-3/4" (908 mm) door rail for secure commercial and architectural glass entrances.

The Wedge-Lock® Glass Securing System delivers fast installation and reliable long-term performance. Experienced installers can prepare a door in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails arrive fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After rail installation, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail. The Adjustable Door Alignment System lets you fine-tune the door 1/8" (3.2 mm) toward or away from the jamb without removing the door — standard on both top and bottom rails.

To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts. The center bolt secures the adjustable slide; the two outer bolts adjust the slide 1/8" (3.2 mm) in or out. The low-profile adjustable slide accommodates pivots with slotted grooves and can be fabricated for vertically out-of-square openings.
