Our innovative glass entrance product, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR4SDU12SL), uses the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This glass door rail system secures the glass by applying downward pressure with two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is pulled down with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the rail and wedge together, producing extremely high clamping force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail), ensuring a secure, durable attachment for full-length 35-3/4" rails as well.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers fast installation for glazed storefronts and glass doors—experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® door rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After rail installation, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail.

The integrated Adjustable Door Alignment System allows ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door, standard on both top and bottom rails. To access the adjustments, remove the end cap to reveal three socket head cap bolts: the center secures the slide; the outer bolts adjust the slide in or out. The low-profile slide and slotted pivot grooves allow positioning other than the American Standard setback of 2-3/4" (69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
