This aluminum extrusion was developed for three primary uses:

(1) As a U-channel matching the width of CRL sidelite rails and door rails for a consistent system sight line.

(2) As a narrow header, same width as sidelite and door rails, designed to accept a top free-swinging pivot to secure the top of doors (ideal for frameless glass door headers and narrow header applications).

(3) As an even sight line system — secure the fabricated narrow header to the opening, then attach the sidelite rail to the narrow header using the 1/4" (6 mm) header saddle. All drilling, tapping, and fabrication can be completed at manufacture on request to save installation time.
