This CRL Z-Series Square Type Flat Base Glass Clamp (SKU Z812SC) secures 1/2" (12 mm) tempered or monolithic glass for interior and exterior applications. Available in zinc or stainless steel, the Z812SC is a durable square glass clamp designed for partitions, railings, windbreaks and other architectural glazing projects where a flat-base clamp for square tubing or flat surfaces is required.

For fastening to thin-wall tubing (less than 1/8"), use CRL ZBOLT Socket Head Cap Bolt and ZRNUT Rivet Nut. Drill a 17/32" (13.5 mm) hole, then install the rivet nut with the 34604 Heavy-Duty Thread Insert tool and 34618 5/16" mandrel and nosepiece. NOTE: A 9/16" (14.3 mm) hole is required when using the included steel pin for additional glass support.

Glass Fabrication Notes: For 1/4" (6 mm), 5/16" (8 mm) and 3/8" (10 mm) glass, a 1/2" (12 mm) diameter hole is required when using the steel pin. For 1/2" (12 mm) glass, a 9/16" (14 mm) diameter hole is required when using the steel pin.

Product Warning:

For interior installations where the bottom edge of the glass is not supported, CRL recommends pinning each glass panel to prevent slippage. Rubber gaskets and steel pins are provided with each clamp.
