This CRL Z-Series Square Type Flat Base Glass Clamp (SKU: Z812BN) secures 1/2" (12 mm) glass and is ideal for partitions, railings, windbreaks and other architectural glass projects. Available in zinc or stainless steel constructions, or powder-painted zinc for enhanced exterior durability, the Z812BN stands out with included rubber gaskets and an optional steel support pin for added safety.

For mounting the clamp to thin-wall tubing (less than 1/8"), use CRL ZBOLT Socket Head Cap Bolt and ZRNUT Rivet Nut. Drill a 17/32" (13.5 mm) hole, then install the rivet nut with the 34604 Heavy-Duty Thread Insert tool and the 34618 5/16" mandrel and nosepiece. NOTE: A 9/16" (14.3 mm) hole is required if using the included steel pin for additional glass support.

Glass Fabrication: If using the steel pin for support, drill a 1/2" (12 mm) hole in 1/4" (6 mm), 5/16" (8 mm) and 3/8" (10 mm) thick glass. For 1/2" (12 mm) glass, drill a 9/16" (14 mm) hole.

Product Warning:
For interior applications where the glass is not supported from the bottom edge, CRL recommends pinning each glass panel as required to prevent slippage. Rubber gaskets and steel pins are provided with each clamp.
