Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, provides a secure, fast-install rail for tempered glass doors. The patented Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 & 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1) applies pressure from the bottom of the door rail using two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, the angled extrusions wedge into the rail groove and compress the glass retaining extrusions together, creating extremely high holding force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail).

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers more than strong glass retention — it offers the industry’s fastest installation time for a door rail. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. Rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After installing the rail, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the pre-assembled adjustable door alignment slide. The adjustable slide allows 1/8" (3.2 mm) of inward/outward adjustment without removing the door; this feature is standard on both top and bottom rails.

Remove the end cap after installation to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the adjustable slide and the two outer bolts provide the 1/8" adjustment. The low-profile slide permits pivot placement other than the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
