Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR4SSA12P), uses CRL’s exclusive Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This engineered door rail for 1/2" glass secures the glass by applying downward pressure through two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tensioned with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions ride into an angled groove in the rail, generating exceptional clamping force (more than 900 lbs. in our 9" corner rail). That reliable wedge action and durable door-retaining gasket produce superior glass retention across full-length rails.

The Wedge-Lock® system provides fast installation for commercial glass doors—experienced installers can prepare a door in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails arrive fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After mounting the rail, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail.

The standard Adjustable Door Alignment System (top and bottom rails) allows field adjustment of 1/8" (3.2 mm) toward or away from the jamb without removing the door. Remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide, and the two outer bolts permit the 1/8" adjustment. The low-profile slide and slotted pivot grooves allow non-standard setback positions and can accommodate vertically out-of-square openings.
