The CRL Adjustable Spring Power Overhead Concealed Door Closer (SKU: CRL8772GE) is an ADA-compliant, concealed overhead closer designed for storefronts and commercial doors. Offered as a body-only kit with mounting clips for retrofits or as complete packages including mounting clips, Type "S" side-load arm or Type "A" end-load arm, and selectable "DP" adjustable dual-purpose or "GE" bottom pivot sets. The closer features independent, dual-action valves for precise closing and latching speed control and is available with 90Β° or 105Β° hold-open or no hold-open options. Designed to fit standard 1-3/4" x 4" (44 x 102 mm) or larger extrusions; additional spring sizes and hardware options are available for heavier doors or special site conditions.
Adjustable Spring Power
Adjustable spring tension from a minimum of 8-1/2 lbs. opening force up to medium spring sizes to meet site-specific ADA and door control requirements.
Independent Adjustment Valves
Non-critical valves allow independent adjustment of closing speed and latching speed for reliable door control.
Special Retaining Rings
Retaining rings prevent valve screws from being backed completely out of the closer body for durable field serviceability.
Note
Use an auxiliary floor or overhead door stop to prevent damage from over-extension of the maximum allowable door swing.
