CRL RTV408 Industrial and Construction Silicone (SKU: RTV408BRZ) is a neutral-cure, medium-modulus, 100% silicone sealant that cures to a durable, flexible rubber when exposed to moisture. RTV408 provides primerless adhesion to aluminum, stainless steel, most plastics, rigid PVC (vinyl), phenolic resin, glass, ceramic, and most reflective-coated glasses. For certain substrates, Cat. Typical applications: Insulating glass glazing, curtainwall joints, vinyl/steel/aluminum windows, skylights, marine and transportation assembly (vehicles, ships, aircraft), electrical insulation, sanitary equipment, tiles, and many in-house production sealing tasks where non-corrosive, flexible silicone is required. Not recommended for structural glazing, submerged joints, food or potable water contact, mirrors, or horizontal decks subject to abrasion.
