Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). Designed for secure, long-lasting attachment of glass to commercial doors, the system uses two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions compressed by a flat stainless steel bar. As the stainless bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, angled wedges in the rail draw the extrusions together and compress the door retaining gasket—generating very high holding force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail), and even greater force across the full 35-3/4" (908 mm) rail.
NOTE: Actual product height: 10" (254 mm)
The Wedge-Lock® system delivers industry-leading installation speed for glass door rails—experienced installers can prepare a door in under ten minutes. Rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps in place. After mounting the rail, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the pre-assembled adjustable door alignment slide.
The standard Adjustable Door Alignment System lets you adjust the door 1/8" (3 mm) toward or away from the jamb without removing the door—available on both top and bottom rails. To adjust on-site, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center securing bolt locks the slide; the two outer bolts provide the 1/8" adjustment. The low-profile slide lets pivots with slotted grooves be positioned off the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
Other advantages of Wedge-Lock® Door Rails:
- Models accept 3/8" to 3/4" (10 to 19 mm) glass
- Rigid single-component housing—won’t shift or fall out of adjustment like two-piece rails
- Internal components remain assembled during installation—no pre-removal required
- Durable glass securing pads engineered for longevity in extreme environments
