Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). The Wedge-Lock® door rail secures the glass by using two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. When the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the door rail, pulling the extrusions together and compressing the specially designed door retaining gasket to generate very high holding force (example: more than 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail). This design provides a secure fasten and even pressure along the full 35-3/4" rail.

The Wedge-Lock® Glass Securing System delivers more than secure attachment — it offers fast installation for commercial glass doors. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in less than ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails ship completely fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After mounting the rail, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail.

The adjustable door alignment slide allows ±1/8" (3 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door. Adjustment access is through the end cap: remove the end cap to reveal three socket head cap bolts — the center bolt secures the slide, and the two outer bolts provide the in/out adjustment. The low-profile slide lets pivots with slotted grooves be positioned off the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
