An innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System uses the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1) to secure glass from the bottom of the rail. Two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions are pressed together by a flat stainless steel bar tightened with socket head cap bolts. The angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the door rail so the wedge action compresses the extrusions and gasket, producing very high retention forces (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" (228.6 mm) corner rail).
NOTE: Actual product height: 6" (152 mm)
The Wedge-Lock® system delivers a fast, secure installation for frameless glass doors and entrances. Fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed, rails require only attachment of the door arm or pivot (not included) to the pre-assembled adjustable door alignment slide. The adjustable slide allows 1/8" (3.2 mm) in/out adjustment toward or away from the jamb on both top and bottom rails—adjustable without removing the door. Low-profile slides and slotted pivot grooves allow fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
Installation access: remove the end cap to reveal three socket head cap bolts—the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts adjust the slide by 1/8" (3.2 mm).
Other benefits: models accept 3/8" or 1/2" (10 or 12 mm) glass; rigid single-component housing resists shift and loss of adjustment; internal components stay in place during
