An innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR6SBL12SL) uses the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1) to secure glass with bottom-applied pressure. Two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions compress against the glass via a flat stainless steel bar and socket head cap bolts. The angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the rail so the wedge action pulls the retaining extrusions together, creating extremely high holding force (more than 900 lbs. in our 9" corner rail). This robust Wedge-Lock door rail design delivers exceptional glass security and durability for commercial glass doors.

The Wedge-Lock® Glass Securing System also provides the fastest installation time in its category—experienced installers can prepare a door for hanging in under ten minutes. Rails arrive completely fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. Before hanging the door, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail. The adjustable door alignment slide lets you fine-tune the door 1/8" (3.2 mm) toward or away from the jamb without removing the door; this feature is standard on both top and bottom rails.

To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide and the two outer bolts adjust the slide 1/8" (3.2 mm) in or out. The low-profile adjustable slide allows pivots with slotted grooves to be positioned off the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
