An innovative glass door solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2, Canadian Patent 2,419,706, European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). The system secures glass by applying downward pressure with two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions wedge together in the door rail groove and, with a specially designed door retaining gasket, generate very high clamping force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail).

NOTE: Actual Product Height: 6” (152 mm)

Key benefits and long-tail features:

  • Fast installation for commercial glass doors — experienced installers can prepare a door in under ten minutes.
  • Comes completely fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed.
  • Adjustable Door Alignment System (standard top and bottom) allows +/-1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from jamb without removing the door.
  • Adjustments accessible by removing the end cap to reveal three socket head cap bolts (center bolt locks, outer bolts adjust slide).
  • Rigid single-component housing resists shifting or loss of adjustment over time.
  • Internal components do not require removal before installation; glass securing pads designed for longevity in extreme environments.
  • Models accept 3/8" or 1/2" (10 or 12 mm) glass; additional models accept up to 3/4" (19 mm) glass.

Installation notes: After rail installation, attach door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the door rail. The low-profile adjustable slide allows pivot placement other than the American Standard setback of 2-3/4" (69.8 mm) and can be fabricated for vertically out-of-square openings.

Ordering information:

  • All door rails are supplied with the standard Kwik-Adjust™ Pivot Alignment System. Closer arms and floor or overhead pivots must be ordered separately.
  • Models with locks are supplied with the lock mechanism installed. Matching finish keyed cylinders or thumbturns must be ordered separately
