An innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU DR6SBS12S) features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This tempered glass door rail secures glass by applying downward wedge pressure using two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tensioned with socket head cap bolts, the angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the rail and pull together, producing very high retention force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail).

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers fast installation for commercial glass doors—experienced installers can prepare a door for hanging in under ten minutes. Rails arrive fully fabricated with end caps installed; after installing the rail, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the preassembled adjustable door alignment slide. The adjustable door alignment system allows +/- 1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door (standard on both top and bottom rails).

To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt locks the slide; the two outer bolts provide the 1/8" adjustment. The low-profile slide and slotted pivot grooves enable setups other than the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), allowing fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
